Profesional acting career started as 16 years old lad (1953) in movie Sinji galeb (part of Pero, credited as Darko Slivnjak) directed by famous Croatian director Branko Bauer. 1950-1953 member of amateur group which is today Zagrebacko kazaliste mladih (Zagrebian Theatre of Youngsters); 1953-1957 student at The Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb; 1957 - 1973 permanent member of Zagrebian Drama Theatre (today City Drama Theatre Gavella); 1970 - 1973 professor at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. 1973 - 1974 manager and director of Drama department of Croatian National Theatre in Osijek; 1974 - 1977 free-lance and at the same time member of Teater &td in Zagreb. - Vanja Drach was born to the family of a respectable doctor in Vinkovci, Croatia. Having lost his father at the age of 11, he decided to continue with family tradition and came to Zagreb to study medicine. However, in the big city he fell in love with theater and cinema and, and after only one year in the medical school, he tried to enroll in the Drama Academy. At first, professor 'Branko Gavella' didn't want to admit him because of his natural red hair, but Drach's perfect diction saved the day. After the Academy and two years in the Gavella Theater, Drach listened to the advice of Bojan Stupica and joined Croatian National Theater in Zagreb in 1957. He stayed in the National Theater until 1975 when he joined his good friend Relja Basic and his travelling company "Teatar u gostima" for next five years. Sasa Anocic was born in Osijek in 1968. He graduated in the Drama Academy in 1998. He left the Osijek Croatian National Theatre and worked in the troupe of ZKM, and in 2003 joined the actors' troupe of "Tresnja". Except for the very successful roles in the theatre (scarecrow in "Wizard of Oz) he is a successful as a director too ("Neighbourhood Upside Down" in HNK Ivan pl.Zajc, "Knives in Hens" i "Only God Knows It" in the Theatre Exit, "When the Dead are slaughtered" and "Alice", "Pinocchio" in our theatre "Tresnja" where he not only was a director but also made a dramatization and formed illumination and movement on the scene.- Born in Metkovic. - Bozidar Oreskovic, Croatian actor (Zagreb, August 21, 1942 - Kozjaca, July 9, 2010) was doyen of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, and the public remembers him from numerous film and television roles. His appearance, the persuasiveness of theatrical testimony and the ability to transform himself into the most diverse roles formed him, as an extremely interesting actor, whose every exit on the stage was particularly noted. With extraordinary recitative temperament, striking appearance, peculiar color of the voice and acting expression, he contributed to the fullness and intuition of the characters he interpreted and to the entire theatrical representation in which he participated.
He completed his studies at the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1965, and was a member of the Zagreb National Theater from now on. Some significant roles: Joe (H. Pinter, Il ritorno), Pomet (M. Drzic uncle Maroje), Seminarian (FM Dostoevsky, The demons), Ljovka (IE Babelj, Twilight), Othello (W. Shakespeare), Marko Baric ( M. Begovic, Without the third), Andrija Hebrang (A. From the theatrical performance interview The horse for spritz (Konja za gemist), where he had a triple role as writer, director and actor:
"Today's politicians offer empty hands ... we must, we need ... What do they offer? I do not know. I only see that they want to take us ... where? So we have to stay here. I want to stay here, I don't want to go somewhere else. I want to communicate, reach some standards, but I don't want to go away! I want to stay in this country, to be a particle in its formation. I want it and I will do it as an actor and therefore I try to present it through this role of the president." - Mladen Vasary graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, and from Ecole Lecoq in Paris. He has worked for British, German and French theatre companies including: Talking Pictures Manchester, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Bühnen der Stat Köln, Bochum Schauspielhaus, Jozsef Katona Budapest, Compagnie Mario Gonzalez, Compagnie Joker, Compagnie du Hasard, CCN - Orleans Josef Nadj, The acirc;tre Nationale de Chaillot; Paris, in Shakespeare's, Moliere's, Cervantes' Aristophanus'plays. He starred in many films. One of these is Tom Stoppard's great achievement Rosencrantz and Guilernstern are Dead. He is a part-time lecturer in acting at the Helsinki Art and Media University. Currently, he is working as a director in Zagreb.
